Bird Nest Project

We hope the children are enjoying working on their bird nests at home!  These will be due Tuesday, 4/18, however they may be turned in early if complete.  A copy of the instructions is included under Important Documents.

The project has 2 parts--the nest and the response paragraph.  Mrs. Darnell will be displaying these in the library, and we can't wait to see all of the children's hard work!  Students may bring these to school in a shoe box, plastic bag, tupperware bowl, etc.

We have reviewed many different types of nests in class and in the science lab, so we have encouraged the children to be creative using found objects from nature.  Below are a few pictures for inspiration...

Please help students remember that this is NOT a craft project to be done using materials from the craft store.  We want them to try to "do as the birds do."  Thanks so much!  We can't wait to see!
