Today the children received information about their upcoming SS explorer cut-outs and biographies. They added this info to their SS binders.

We will begin research next week in the computer lab.  Additional parent information about these projects is coming home in signed papers today, so please watch for this.

We are so excited to see the final products which will be due on Friday, November 2nd!!! For your convenience, copies of this information have also been added under the tab on the right labeled Important Documents. Thanks so much!

Chapel Today...

Today was our first chapel of the new school year!  James Moore gave a wonderful devotion on friendship, based on the Bible story of the men who brought their friend to Jesus for healing.  They cared so much about him that they even lowered him through the roof!  Mr. Moore challenged the children to be friends like these--friends who point others to Jesus and who lift each other up.  It was a great afternoon!

Trying out the Scientific Method!

Today during 4th grade science lab time, students went outside to fly their airplanes constructed of copy paper, construction paper, and cardstock.  Students were anxious to see which type of plane would fly the farthest.  With a gentle breeze, copy paper took the lead.  As the winds increased throughout the afternoon, the construction paper planes pulled ahead.  What a fun way to spend a Friday!
