Every FPD student is encouraged to read LOTS
this summer! Please check the school website for details regarding your child’s required
reading and book reports to be completed for ALL rising students in 1st-5th grade.
***Entering 4th grade: Students must choose ONE: Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo; Hatchet
by Gary Paulsen; The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate; The
Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis; OR Lunch Money by Andrew Clements
***Entering 5th grade: Students must read Frindle by Andrew
Clements.
***Entering 6th grade: Students must read Wonder by R.J.
Palacio. There will be other
required books as well. Check the school website for details.
