Today during our study of Biomes our fourth graders were inspired by the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. They painted beautiful desert scenes during Social Studies time!!!

Jekyll Reminders
We are so excited about our trip next week to Jekyll!
The students are bringing home their GA Power bags and Jekyll t-shirts! Remember, this GA Power bag makes a great "island bag" for students to use on our trip. We recommend students carry it with them throughout both days on Jekyll to hold their sunscreen, hat and/or sunglasses, insect repellent (no aerosol), pencil, Jekyll workbook (we will provide), and refillable water bottle. Please be sure names are included on all items.
Click HERE or under Important Documents for a review of the packing list that was given out at our Jekyll parent meeting.
During our Science Lab on Friday, 4/26, Mrs. Bryant will hold a Q and A with students to answer all of their questions about the trip. Let one of the 4th grade teachers know if you have any additional questions following these info sessions.
We will see the children at 6:45 on Wednesday morning. Please allow them to remain in cars until the teachers load all field trip items on the bus. Then we will signal for the children and chaperones to join us and board the bus.
We can't wait and appreciate your prayers for safe travel and good weather!!!!

Garden Update!
Unfortunately the rain shower this afternoon thwarted our garden plans for the day. We are rescheduling our garden day and nature walk for Monday afternoon, weather permitting. In case of good weather, children may wear jeans and comfy shoes on Monday.
Have a great weekend!

Bird Nest Project
Today in Science Lab students learned all about the upcoming 4th grade bird nest project. Click HERE to read more. All student-made nests and completed paragraphs will be due by April 18th. These nests will be on display in the FPD library, so please send student nests in a box or bowl that will be able to stay here at school for a couple of weeks. Thanks so much! We can't wait to see the completed projects!!!
